Sergeant Major Kevin M. Tucei is a native of Biloxi, MS. He enlisted in the Marine Corps in September 2004 and attended recruit training at Parris Island, SC. Upon completion of follow-on Marine Combat Training at Camp Geiger, NC in February 2005, he was ordered to Naval Air Station Meridian, MS for the Aviation Supply Specialist Course. April 2005 Sergeant Major Tucei transferred to MALS-31 Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Beaufort, SC for duty as an aviation supply specialist. Sergeant Major Tucei executed two deployments under the Unit Deployment Program (UDP) to the Western Pacific.
February 2009 Sergeant Major Tucei transferred to Marine Aviation Training Support Squadron One (MATSS-1) Meridian, MS for duty as an Aviation Supply Formal School Instructor and Squadron Training Chief. In August of 2013 Sergeant Major Tucei transferred to MALS-13 MCAS Yuma, AZ for duty in the Aviation Supply Department (ASD) where he served as the Repairable Control Branch Staff Noncommissioned Officer in Charge (SNCOIC) and the Repairable Management Division SNCOIC. June 2014 Sergeant Major Tucei deployed to Camp Bastion, Afghanistan to fill the role of Material Management Division Warehouse Chief, in support of OPERATION ENDURING FREEDOM.
August 2016 Sergeant Major Tucei reported to Basic Recruiters Course MCRD San Diego, CA. Upon completion of Recruiters School Sergeant Major Tucei reported to Recruiting Station Phoenix, 8th Marine Corps District Phoenix, AZ for duty where he served as a canvassing recruiter and Recruiting Sub-Station (RSS) SNCOIC. December 2019 Sergeant Major Tucei transferred to MALS-39 MCAS Camp Pendleton, CA for duty where he served as the Warehouse Control Branch and Warehouse Management Division SNCOIC, where he was selected to the rank of First Sergeant in November 2020.
July 2021 Sergeant Major Tucei reported to Chemical Biological Incident Response Force (CBIRF) MARFORCOM in Indian Head, MD where he served as Company A and Headquarters and Service Company Unit Senior Enlisted Leader (SEL). July 2023 Sergeant Major Tucei reported to 2D BN 6TH MAR 2ND MARDIV Camp Lejeune, NC to assume the duties of Unit SEL for Company F. He was selected to Sergeant Major in October 2023, and was promoted to his current rank in January 2024 at which time he transferred to VMGR-252 to serve as the Command Senior Enlisted Leader.
Sergeant Major Tucei's personal awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal with four gold stars in lieu of 5th award, the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal with four gold stars in lieu of 5th award, the Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal and various service and campaign medals.
